Having established the tpye and source of infromation needded to analyse the ecisting system thd next step is to idenfitfy and describe the information that will be needed to design the new system. While this sounds very similar to the prveious system there are some differences that must be noted. much of the information needed to design the new system will come from the same sources used previously. THe designed of the new system must take into account information from all relvant sources. SOme of this information will relate to manadatory standards (that is mminimum standards imposed by governement or regulatory authorities-ussually relating to occupation health and selecgt issues or data/sucuring/privacy laws) the analyst must ensure the new system meets all relevant regulations and sntadards-and to do this they must first idenfiy who must first identify who the appropriate authorirties are and investigate and document the standards that are relevant to this system. There will bne other external source of information that an analayse may need in the design of a new system. These sources will ussually provide the analyst with expert advise on various aspects of the propse system-focusing on areas where time and/or money can be saved through applying skills or designs from other project to this system. In essance the system allows for the incorportation of developments in other projects into this are to ensure that the final the final product uses the most appropriate technology available.
