Question 4 of 4
You manage a Windows Server 2012 R2 server for a small company. This server is used as a file and print
server.

Several users have complained that when they try to connect to a shared printer, they receive an error
message indicating that a driver isn’t available for their operating system. Upon investigation, you discover
they are using older hardware running a 32-bit version of Windows 8.1. You need to add a 32-bit driver to
the shared printer.

Click the tab in the properties of the printer you would use to do this .

Explanation

You can use the Sharing tab to configure sharing settings for the printer. You can use the Additional Drivers … button on
this tab to add drivers for clients that do not have a driver installed for the printer. For example, if the print driver supports
both 32-bit and 64-bit clients, you can use the Additional Drivers … button to enable a 32-bit driver. This enables older
clients running 32-bit operating systems to download the driver from the print server.

The Advanced tab allows you to configure advanced printer settings, such as setting the printer priority. The Security tab
allows you to specify permissions for the print device. The Device Settings tab is used to configure printer settings, such
as which paper tray to use.
